Background in budget creation, contracts, venue management, volunteer supervision, and more for both multi-day festival events and smaller, more intimate programs. Over a decade of recruiting and contracting top-tier talent from around the country to perform in Drag King DSM, Iowa’s first and longest-standing drag king show.
Producing galas and Drag King events attracting hundreds of attendees with a twenty-five person production team. Management of large-scale festivals, including 80/35 Music Festival and Des Moines’ Pride Fest.
Collaborated with board members, funding partners, and community stakeholders to steward Pride Fest from a modest event drawing 2,500 attendees into Iowa’s largest LGBTQ+ cultural gathering and one of the fastest growing Pride festivals in the country in only five years, bringing over 50,000 people to downtown Des Moines in 2023.
